55K
55K – Course Overview
Starting near North Fork Park, Liberty UT, the course points directly uphill. In the shadow of the famous Ben Lomond Peak, yes famous, you will twist and turn on the switchbacks for 6 miles before arriving at the “saddle” where you will connect to the Skyline Trail and be greeted by Aid Station #1 (Ben Lomond Saddle). From Aid Station #1, 55K runners will continue their climb up to Ben Lomond Peak. This will be a short but grueling out-n-back where runners will bag their first peak of the day. Once runners get their sticker at the peak, they will point it back down to AS#1 which for them will be AS#2 and from there they have a fast, flat and downhill cruise to AS#3 (North Ogden Divide). From Aid Station #3, runners point the legs up the steep section of the South Skyline Trail. Just 3 miles up the trail you will find Aid Station #4 (Lewis Peak Saddle) this section is rather brutal but it is also one of the coolest ridge line trails around. From Aid Station #4 runners will have the second out-n-back of the day. It is a beautiful 2.5 miles to Lewis Peak, where they will pick up their second sticker and bag their second peak for the day. From the peak, runners head back up the trail where they will arrive back at the previous aid station location and now their Aid Station #5 (Lewis Peak Saddle, also known as Aid Station #4). From Aid Station #5 runners have a long fast downhill to Aid Station #6 (Windsurfers Beach). From Aid Station #6 runners are now on the home stretch. Following the shoreline of Pineview Reservoir runners make their way northeast to the Eden Park, the Hearthside Reception Center and the Finish Line. Make sure to be aware of the two three road crossings and boat traffic on the loading ramp.

Where to Stay
There are a lot of good options for places to stay in Ogden and Ogden Valley. Eden Park is not one of these places. Please DO NOT camp in our around the park. Race Info
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup is Friday August 11th, 2023 at Striders / Fleet Feet in Ogden, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The address is 1937 S Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84401. Big thanks to our Partners for all their help. Please make sure to say thanks to their employees and the volunteers for helping all you crazy people.
There is No race day packet pickup. If you are not able to pick you packet up on Friday, you can pick it up during regular business hours on Wednesday or Thursday at the same location. If you do not pick it up prior to Saturday morning, you will receive a DNS… No “I’m sorry”, or “I forgot”… Packet pick up on the day of the race, is time consuming and creates problems. Please try to avoid it. If you do have a really good reason, you can always ask and we could say yes, but we try hard not to, for the sake of the other runners. The Start line is always very busy, so please do your best to pick up the night before.
Start Time
The Marathon and 55K start at 5:00 am. Remember, participants will be parking at the Finish area and boarding a shuttle that will take them to the Start Line. Parking at the start line is very limited. Just ride the bus!
Check in Procedures
Check in will happen when you get off the bus at the start line. Everyone must check in at the start line. Yes, you checked in and got your bib. Yes, you got on the bus, but if you do not check in at the start line, you will receive DNS (Did not start) and if you get lost you will be on your own because we will not know you are on the trail… So PLEASE remember to check in at the start line.
Check in is from 4:15 am – 5:00 am….. Please do not show up at 4:45. Just get on the bus, show up a bit early, check in, and warm up. We will need to take your temperature and ask you questions.
Parking
Parking is available in the field directly south of the finish line. There will be a sign telling you where to park. You may also park on the east side of Eden Park. Do not park on the north end as this is where the runners enter and it is no fun to have cars weaving through the runners. Please see the marking diagram.
Shuttle Leaves Eden Park at 4:15 a.m.
Worse case scenario you miss the shuttle, you can still drive to the start line, but you have to find your own ride back to your car, because there will not be one provided. And this doesn’t mean you can pretend you missed the shuttle just so you can park at the start line. You are paying for the bus, just use it please!
Start: Runners will start at 5:00 am in a mass start
Awards / Raffle
Awards will be given to the top three men and women. The awards ceremony will be held as soon as those top three finish.
Rules and Regs
55K
All 55K runners are required to pick up a sticker at Ben Lomond Peak and Lewis Peak as proof that you arrived at the peak. Pick it up and stick it on your bib. This way no one can question your crazy fast time. And hey, its another peak…. why stop short?
Dropping Out
If for some reason you need to withdrawal from the race, you need to let the volunteers at the aid station know. We so not recommend withdrawing while up on the skyline trail. If you do that, you will still need to walk down. If you are unable to go further, ask another runner to inform the aid station that you are in need of help. In this situation search and rescue will be called out to extract you from the mountain.
Dogs
I know this is a tough subject on both sides, but the answer is no. Dogs are not allowed to run with you during the event. We love them to, but there is just to much potential for problems. And yes, we know your dog would never do that and is the best behaved dog on the trail, but even if this really is the case, the answer is still not. Feel free to bring them on all your training runs, just dont bring them on race day. Thanks for understanding.
Pacers
Pacers are welcome to run with you from Aid Station #2 (North Ogden Divide Parking Lot). But they can not start with you. And if they are pacing you please remind them that they did not pay for the race, so please go easy on the aid station grub.
Headphones
Headphones are welcome, but we recommend that you keep them at a decent volume or keep one ear free, so you can hear whats going on around you. We don’t want you to wet yourself when someone comes up behind you or even worse, not hear a rattle snake or a moose that has it out for you.
